OUR INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS
Brief
The process begins with a consultation with Our Studio. During this stage, we review the client’s goals, routines, entertaining needs, and expectations for the interior environment. We discuss spatial requirements for each room, aesthetic direction, and the overall scope of the project. Budget parameters and preliminary timeline considerations are also established.
Planning
The planning phase evaluates the property and organizes the project structure. We review architectural drawings, study the existing conditions of the home, and assess how interior spaces function within the architecture. Coordination begins with architects, engineers, and contractors to establish the technical framework for the design.
Concept
During the concept phase, we develop the visual direction for the interior. Our studio prepares design studies that communicate atmosphere, architectural character, and spatial composition. These concepts introduce material palettes, architectural elements, furnishings, and lighting direction that guide the project moving forward.
Development
Design development translates the concept into detailed interior solutions. Room layouts are refined, custom millwork elements are designed, and architectural features such as ceiling treatments, wall compositions, and lighting placement are coordinated. Furniture arrangements and spatial proportions are finalized to support construction planning.
Documentation
Documentation converts the design into technical drawings and specifications used by contractors and fabricators. Our studio prepares interior design drawing sets, millwork details, finish schedules, and fixture specifications. These documents guide the construction team during the build.
Selection
The selections phase finalizes the materials, fixtures, and furnishings used throughout the residence. Natural stone, wood finishes, flooring, plumbing fixtures, decorative lighting, furniture, textiles, and accessories are chosen to create a cohesive interior composition.
Management
During construction, our studio remains actively involved in supervising the implementation of the design. We review shop drawings, visit the site to observe installation progress, and communicate with contractors and consultants to address design details that arise during the build.
Procurement
Procurement manages the sourcing and ordering of furniture, fixtures, and equipment selected for the project. Our studio coordinates with vendors and fabricators, tracks production of custom furnishings, and organizes delivery logistics to the project location.
Installation
Installation completes the project. Our team supervises furniture deliveries, places each piece according to the approved layouts, installs artwork and decorative elements, and arranges the interior for immediate use. The residence is presented complete and ready for occupancy.
